Project Manager
Summary:
To provide management oversight for all phases of construction or consulting projects, including coordinating employees, subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project
- Minimizes exposure and risk through implementation of safety standards and quality assurance controls
- Coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of multiple projects.
- Ensure the job is in adherence to all architectural and engineering drawings
- Responsible for administration of construction contracts and obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
- Tracks and controls construction schedule and project costs
- Reports to stakeholders on job progress and any necessary modifications that may be needed
- Plans, implements, tracks and closeout/turnover of construction projects.
- Conducts project meetings.
- Manages day to day client interactions and expectations
- Manages revenue goals set for projects.
- Proactively identifies changes in project scope and communicates to stakeholders; manages all change order documentation
- Review and approve all time and material work vouchers and invoices.
- Administers Submittal Review process between Subcontractors/Suppliers, design team and Owner.
- Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned.
- Manage toolbox talks with Superintendents.
Requirements For This Position:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of work experience; commercial interior work is preferred.
- BS in Engineering or BA in Architecture
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Project. Bluebeam and Corecon a plus.
- Dispute resolution
- Financial and Job Cost Accounting Knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Certifications: As required by OSHA and Department of Buildings
